Why join the CCA Currie Fundraising Society as a member? To participate in the fundraising initiatives that will benefit your child! More members allows us to fulfill our mission and build a robust community of volunteers who can actively participate in fundraising initiatives through their time, their dollars or their ideas.

A wide membership of parents also helps the Society remain in compliance with AGLC requirements to maintain eligibility for a gaming license, such as a Casino license. Why is this important? The largest benefit is we can participate in a Casino Fundraiser bi-annually where for 2-3 days, 40 volunteers will come together to run a Casino. The proceeds from our time and efforts will yield a profit to our funds in the range of $80,000 which will greatly impact our students! This is an opportunity we want to make sure we always have the option to take advantage of.

Rights of FS members in good standing as per the CCA Currie FS Bylaws:
- Access to the society's bylaws, policies, and procedures documents
- The right to attend general meetings with voting privileges: AGM, RGM, SGM
- Eligibility for election to the Board of Directors at the AGM
- The right to fulfill vacancies on the Board
- The right to attend and observe regular meetings of the Board of Directors
- The right to inspect the books and records of the Society upon request and with a valid reason for inspection
- The Opportunities for volunteering on Fundraising Committees, including Gala Committee.
